How are drivers, while driving (and presumably not texting in the Waze app), able to send reports to Waze regarding police hideouts, obstacles on the road and various other driver reports that are available on Waze?
There’s a button to press that takes a split second that as your passing by the cop on the road to click on it to let Waze know that there’s a cop on the side of the road there now
Since it’s only a split second and saves lives. After all when people know that a cop is in the area they slow down. Just like the speeding cameras.. They were put on at nights so they will save lives.. Naa, the money isn’t the goal 😉

Perhaps the OP, in his usual creative mode, is thinking about how this really great app can also address another one of his priorities which is how to alert yiddeshe neshamas about a potential exposure to pritzus. Specifically, why couldn’t the software engineers add a new “Tzinus Alert” button along with those for radar traps and speed cameras that would warn you that there is an inappropriately dressed woman about 4 or 5 blocks ahead so the driver knows to shut his eyes while driving along that stretch of the road.
P.S. And the driver behind him can use the Waze “accident alert” button to notify other drivers that the ehrliche yid in front of his car had just crashed into a double parked delivery truck while driving with his eyes closed.Indicating a hazard in Waze may save lives, but how is indicating a cop does!? You are helping someone who is driving dangerously to avoid being caught. Maybe putting a cop signal every couple of miles would really help. In fact, the best would be to put this signal in front of your own driving route.
ujm, contrary to popular belief, one is permitted (and obligated) to learn Torah on Tisha B’av, just it must be from the subjects which are permitted. No need to be completely bored out of your mind.

Waze guidance and planning with the talking is much better than Google maps but on the con side it does take alot of phone battery usage up even if your phone is plugged in to charge while your driving using waze.
while both belong to google, their system do not seem to sync. I think, Waze is more personalized and inventive: it will use your speed and try to schedule you going side (sometimes crazy) routes in an effort to save 60 seconds. Also, developed in Israel. I don’t know whether team is still there.
Best way to keep cops st bay is to obey the law. Ujm and other posters want to drive unsafely and not get caught. Just like Trump.
The amount of baseless anti a specific poster here specifically on tisha B’Av speaks much more about those posters than Mr. UJM. Vdal

Noam Bardin, who was the CEO of Waze from about 2009 through the Google acquisition, just left the company in mid-2021. He split his time between the NYC metro area and Israel and kept much of the original tech team intact after the Google acquisition. Recently, however, much of the Israeli team has dissolved.

If someone here actually puts police locations into Waze or just pressing “no there”. I suggest asking a shaila, it may be lifnei ever or preventing police from catching mazikim

with radar detector, you are not warning the masses, just yourself. So, if you are driving correctly otherwise, you may hope it will protect you when there is some unfair play from police, such as putting a sudden 30mph sign on a 50mph road and waiting behind the corner. I am not sure it will help you though. His radar should see you same time your radar detector sees his radar. And you will waste your precious mind on anticipating being caught all the time. Much better is to go at a safe legal speed while learning from a tape. Then, when there is a traffic jam, you can say B’H, I can review this sugya for longer!
What are the pros and cons between Waze and Google Maps?
One advantage of Waze is that it’s more specific about telling you which lane to use, for example when you have to make a left turn, and then a right turn after a short distance.
