The screws go into some sort of hinge. Find out who makes the hinge (the name is usually on it) take a picture of the hinge and send it to them. They can usually tell you what type/size screw goes with it.

one may assume that there was more than one screw in the piece so you should look for second one remove it carefully take it to a local hardware shop to match it or get its discription then google it but easier to find a match in a a hardware shop

I’m also missing some screws, but I don’t don’t think I can find them in Brooklyn or online.

You are saying you have a software problem as opposed to a hardware problem?

Take out the matching screw from the opposite side (or from another cabinet.) Go to Corner Hardware in Brooklyn, on Nostrand Avenue near Avenue I. They have the “Hilman Fastener System” where there are hundreds of different screws and other hardware in little drawers. You can put just one screw into the supplied bags, and write the part # on the bag and take it to the register. I have found dozens of rare screws this way over the past 11 years, since I moved near them.

They used to have even more, but unfortunately, they recently reduced their inventory to save space. Other stores that used to have the same system eliminated it due to shoplifting losses.

Aren’t most people in Brooklyn missing screws? Why else would they live there? ^_^

42, c’mon, give credit where credit is due. 🙂
