The election returns, especially in New York City, clearly indicate that most Democrats feel that the Hamas attack on Oct. 7, 2023 was a good thing, was a correct way to resolve the “Jewish problem”, and that it would be a good idea to “bring the intifada” to New York City to deal with New York’s Jewish problem. There are some assimilated Jews who believe that since they are the “good type of Jews” and are totally assimilated into the majority culture, they won’t be affected. If this sounds like a replay of Germany of almost a century ago, it is not a coincidence. Germany then was torn between those who wanted to kill us, and others who wanted to “liberate” the world from all forms of religion – our survival depended on the moderate majority keeping power, and they did not keep power (which is why Europe is no longer a center of Jewish life).
If you are modern Orthodox, Eretz Yisrael is a good idea for you, assuming the Medinah survives, which is in doubt. For anyone more frum than “Modern Orthodox” we are, to use the goyim’s expression, “Going up the creek without a paddle”. Under the guise of recruiting canon fodder, Those in charge of Eretz Yisrael have declared war on Torah and Mitsvos, and hope to make it impossible for Bnei Torah to continue living in the Medinah. There might be areas of the United States we could move to, and there might be countries we could flee to, but that is speculative. Fleeing off world may be possible in a few centuries, but at present that is science fiction. It is possible the moderates in both political camps in America will prevail, and the status quo we’ve enjoyed in America since World War II will continue. We probably should take advantage of the conservative view of gun control, and other means of physical security.
We should refocus community efforts on Torah and MItsvos, and try to avoid being in situations where we need to worry about hostile goyim. We will have to get used to the world as it was for us until the relatively recent past, where meaningful civil rights did not exist, and we had to preserve our community regardless of what our enemies did. We learn not to rely on miracles, but as in the past, we need to have faith on Ha-Shem saving us, since it is unlikely we can do it ourselves using the tools available in the world of Sheker.

I think you get used to reading emotional headlines and lost all proportions. How is Montana better than Medinah Israel? Medinah is not banning Judaism, not arresting parents for doing bris milah. In fact, it legislates chuppa, kashrus, and shabbos, even if not to your satisfaction. Heated discussions in Israel are about subsidies FOR learning Torah and exempting not just learners but anyone who can afford a hat or a spundak form civil obligations. Other than that, you can live as an equal citizen, not a dhimmi – and you are not entitled to more in Montana.
Actually, moving to some small US state would be an interesting experiment. After short resistance from locals, this would be a first observant state. Let’s see if we can run it. I hope we will not be legislating that the farmers pay taxes to support yeshivos, but figure out normal ways to support the community. Having two senators will be good too.

I am glad you are on board with my approach! indeed, Montana currently does not conscript. At some point, US did. I do not recall angry demonstrations at the time to exempt learners and their relatives from the draft beyond the general rules available to the population (such as college). So, you simply follow the laws of the land, vote to change them, and leave you don’t like them and is able to leave.As to Cantonists, I had one in my family and he returned to Jewish community despite all odds. Your comparison is probably an offense to his memory and to memory of gestapo victims.
