January 27, 2011 3:21 pm at 3:21 pm #738010PortyMemberI did take some courses from a “vendor” many years ago, but I have also learned a lot from books (the “Dummies” books give you a good start) and from looking online. A good site (off the top of my head) is http://www.w3schools.com. Hatzlacha!

January 27, 2011 5:43 pm at 5:43 pm #738013aWebDeveloperParticipantHi I’m a professional Web Developer, I just signed up so I can reply to ‘Porty’, contrary to popular belief w3scools.com is in no way affiliated with the ‘w3c’ (World Wide Web Consortium, those that make the web standards), they actually have A LOT of mistakes on their website, learning from them will only get you used to bad coding, go to http://www.w3fools.com and see what they have to say.
P.S. To answer OPs question, I went to an expensive school in Manhattan, and I’m a ‘Developer’ not a ‘Designer’…
Good luck on whatever you end up doing…

Disclamer, I write for O’Reilly though I had nothing to do with that book
