According to the BMI system, which is heavily disputed but the most commonly used, you are 4 pounds overweight.

You’re asking if we believe you?

    I don’t.

There is no “normal weight”. It depends on your height and build. I’m 5′ 6″ and weighed 115 lbs. before the babies came along. Now I weigh quite a bit more like that but a lot of it is fetus/water/placenta. 😉

What everyone thinks is normal weight – why would you want to know that? That’s like asking everyone – gentiles and non-frum Jews included – what they think of Torah. What medical science thinks is healthy weight – that’s something worth knowing.

    rebbitzen,

depending on your frame, you may be a little overweight (4#) or a lot overweight (30#). Ideal weight for a medium women at 5’2″ is about 120. In any event, you should see you doctor to know.

Just because one may not look overweight does not mean that there are not health problem associated with being overweight. In other words, looks may be deceiving and so is flattery. See an honest doctor.

Working with the assumption that your’re somewhere under 65 y/o, knocking off 20 lbs should be an easy feat.

If you put your mind and body to it, you could hit your goal by the summer.
