I do not like Turner. I do not like Bob one bit. Why? Because he started and helped keep running the Jerry Springer (ymach shmo) show. He ignored calls for regulation for the sake of decency. We can all agree that that is inexcusable.
However, we need to vote for the lesser of two evils. Weprin stood in front of the N.Y. Assembly saying as an orthodox Jew he is voting for gay rights!
Please Please do not vote for him! Let us send a message loud and clear that Orthodoxy does not support gays! How can we do less?
I am looking forward to a constructive blog on this.

Hashem loves us because we are the ones He chose. And this man is one of the ones Hashem chose.
(I should mention here that I really have no idea just what irks you about him so much. He is certainly not the worst Jew I have been exposed to. And I would never call him evil.)

Turner did start the Jerry Springer Show. However, when he started it, it was nothing like what it is now. It was originally a regular talk show, covering political and social issues. The ratings for it were bad, and a different company bought the show from Turner’s company. They then changed the show to what it is now. Turner had nothing to do with that.
If you know anything about Springer you know he is a menuval and he does what he wants.
Feif Un. Thanks for clearing things up. As far as Weprin is concerned he thinks that he deserves the Jewish vote because he is Religious Jew and that’s it. He doesn’t feel he has to earn it.

The difference is that with a TV show, you aren’t being forced to watch it. If you find something in the media objectionable, you should have enough sense to not view it. If you own a TV set, you “vote” for a show with your dial.
But gay rights was crammed down our throats. There was no dial to switch.
