YWN had an article about Rav shternbuch saying this year can be a very good year or a very bad year

What Does The Posek HaDor Advise For תשפ”ד?

A bunch of questions on it

    1) there have been numerous years when it fell out on shabbos and nothing exceptionally good or bad happened that year

    2) the year of the churban even though Rosh Hashana fell out on shabbos they would still blow in the mikdash so there’s no problem unless

    3) they didn’t blow because of an oneis which according to the Rav of my shul shabbos is considered not an oneis because we’re following what the chachamim said

    Any thoughts on this?

The fact that nothing ‘exceptional’ happened doesn’t mean that they weren’t good years. Also, many times the bad that occurred in a given year is not known until events years later. As for having tekios in the mikdash, who says that’s enough to replace the missing tekios for the rest of klal yisrael?

    Shimon

It says really good or really bad

If it was blown in the mikdash it was blown

It’s going to be a VERY GOOD year. Moshiach will arrive this year! We have waited enough with more than enough chevlei Moshiach and prophecies fulfilled.

I can not fathom or understand why Yidden have to be frightened and have to be given doubts that this year where שבת is the first day of ראש השנה is not an exemplary time for additional רוחניות. There are a lot of seforim in Chassidus that explains such: Chabad, Gur, שם משמואל, etc. and it is a pity that it is not viewed as such. We doven and hope that this year will bring the best in גשמיות ורוחניות and then a few will claim maybe not. The main two ideas that we should convince others to observe Shabbos and we all should learn more הלכות of Shabbos is very praiseworthy.

Well, where I live (NY), the last time Rosh Hashana occured on Shabbos, the government tried shutting down the shuls for Simchas Torah.
    So there’s that.

Last time rh was on shabbos, we got vaccine developed, but we also elected Biden who couldn’t find those vaccines in the oval room. We also got people upset that the government prevented them from making each other sick. Nebach. Be careful what you daven for.

Seems like it’s time for SUPER SUPER SERIOUS TESHUVA AND ACHDUS TOGETHER not only due to being the time of Aseres yemei Teshuva but also seeing a double Rainbow calling for a reminder of chas veshalom destruction…… If we don’t immediately accept Hashems wake up call for serious Teshuva and Achdus ASAP together as one loving nation begging Hashem forgiveness and to make us Worthy of the coming of Mashiach already bkarov…..

Do YOU YES YOU think we can make ourselves worthy for the coming of Mashiach already finally by finally waking up and FACING REALITY instead of keeping on living in denial when Hashem keeps on sending klal yisroel as one loving nation non stop horrific tragedies worldwide relating to klal yisroel.

Ain poranius baolam Ella bishvil yisroel……
Yes you read that correctly…… Everything going on in the world today -even if there’s no yidden Involved in it-is all on account of klal yisroel and where we are all holding today as one nation together and with our loving father Hashem king of kings ruler of the entire world.

Do you think now on Erev Yom kippur when all our lives are on the master scale shaking in fear between life and C”V the opposite of not worthy for another year of life. Do you think now is the time for ANYONE to be trolling around? You should be preparing for the holiest day of the year and start now already begging Hashem forgiveness for the past year mistakes that took place and anything else that could’ve been avoided from happening and many tragedies that sadly occurred that Hashem our loving father had no choice cause we are not accepting Hashems wake up calls for serious Teshuva and Achdus ASAP together so Hashem has no choice but to keep sending us more wake up calls Rachmana litzlan…..

Now is a time for all of us to be shaking in fear and NOT A TIME FOR TROLLING AROUND but instead begging Hashem forgiveness.

Coming into Yom Kippur here’s some thoughts:

We have a relationship with Hashem like a boss and worker. If the worker messes up, his pay can fairly be deducted. If he messes up too much, he gets fired.

So our brochos in our new year are dependent on our work we do for Hashem with Torah and Mitzvos.

But there’s a deeper dimension. Hashem is our Father too. So if a worker messes up, he gets fired. But if the boss is his father, he can express sincere remorse and intention on changing, and the father will gladly give him a new chance.

A Father wants to help his child and always cares for him.

On Yom Kippur, עיצומו של יום מכפר. When we tap into (through teshuva) the essence of the day, the holiest day of the year, which reveals within us how we are one with Hashem’s Essence, everything else external automatically falls away. This is the gift of the day where we naturally feel one with Hashem. Let’s embrace it and then bring it down to fuel the rest of the year with that memory and awareness.

    Because that’s where it counts.

And now for the tri state area (the highest percentage of religious Jews outside of Eretz Yisrael) there’s probably going to be a washout for the first night of sukkos in which the Gemara says that Hashem is saying אי אפשי בשימושך

    Dear Coffee,

Take it easy o the omens. Rain in Eretz Yisroel is uncommon this time of year. It is not universally the same significance.

Anyways it didn’t rain (and actually stopped for) while we were in the sukkah
