Aren’t you glad that you found out about 1 of my 3 degrees & it didn’t cost you a penny?!?

“It’s cute that you demand honesty of others when you keep repeating this obviously bogus claim (aside from many other lies you’ve been caught in including in this thread that demonstrates it isn’t just me who sees through you)”

Why do you keep calling me a liar?
Is it because you can’t find my SCOTUS case?
I offered to give it to you for 2 million – so how can you say I’m lying?
The truth is – I had a case, but since you proved to be a pain to me, for years, I refuse to give it to you for free!!!

Im honestly starting to believe that Health is just pulling you guys along for the fun of it because the responses that Health is supplying are just getting less rational as they go along. Seems to me as a desperate attempt to keep this fun going!

(since it seems the cr has changed a bit while i was gone, in that we can no longer provide a link to a specific post, just the thread. so for anyone who wants to check out what i was referring to (and that includes you Health:) ) perhaps this might work: i added a space into the url and perhaps the mod(s) will allow you to copy and paste the provided link into your url bar and just manually delete the space left between “yeshiva” and “world” for the link to work, you might have to wait a few seconds for the screen to jump to that post)

Second half of his step three in the post.

    Paramedic..

I surmised as much….but it’s your disingenuous use of “medical degree” that is most telling. You shy away from saying you are a physician, I’d vote nurse or NP but you seem to disparage nurses in your other posts…. At some point I figured you to hold some sort of allied health degree….I’ll stick with that for now. Maybe some sort of technician? Some type of imaging maybe? What’s clear is that you haven’t the foggiest idea about how EMS really works, your critique of Hatzolah is amateurish and sophomoric, and ive established (for myself at least) that your grasp of critical care is junior grade. (Old conversation we’ve had), as for me, Ive made my credentials as clear as I can (within privacy limits) in older posts.

Yes, it is also because you pretent a paramedic degree is a “medical degree” (see above), then there was the time you made up triage guidelines, among others. But I’m not so in the mood for now, so I’ll leave it at that

So let’s just sum up this thread
We have a lady (health) who
has some hidden gripe against Hatzola,
    Cannot state that gripe
Cannot string together two logically connected thoughts
Cannot give a pointed response to a detailed pointed question
Is incapable of admitting a mistake
Cannot listen to others with an open mind.
    BUT FOR THE RIGHT PRICE

    klugeryid,

So let’s just sum up this thread

Seems like a turf war between Hatzola and Ezras Nashim.

In my family, when we have called for EMS/ambulance service, we knew that going to the hospital ER was likely needed, and that time could be crucial, making driving ourselves potentially dangerous. When we’ve not been sure whether an ER or urgent care visit is needed or not and time is not yet of the essence, we first try to call our doctor to get advice. They have an after-hours answering service that pages a doctor on call – they state to hang up and call 911 if it’s a medical emergency. From what I understand, Ezras Nashim dispatches EMTs, but they don’t provide transport to the hospital, so I have a hard time ascertaining for what situations they intend to provide service. If it is simply to guarantee a frum female presence on the first responding medical team during an emergency, then they should instruct patients to call 911 or Hatzola first, to avoid any delay in transport. If the purpose is more geared towards determining whether something can be managed at home or not, maybe that should be clarified, and instructions to call 911 or Hatzola in the event of a medical emergency should be stated?

To E/O – I wanted to see if this guy who claims he knows more than me, is being truthful.
The question I asked was very much to differentiate whether he’s a medical professional or just knows a little, like a paramedic.
    It’s quite obvious – he’s Not a medical professional!
He does make a good English teacher. Most Medical professionals in our day and age have a hard time with English.
The answer he gave was a correct answer for a layman!
But the answer for a medical professional should have been like this :
    From Medscape:
“Antibiotics, however, are recommended in patients older than 65 years with acute cough if they have had a hospitalization in the past year, have diabetes mellitus or congestive heart failure, or are on steroids.[20]”
Also, antibiotics are helpful in a patient with Chronic Bronchitis, who presents with acute symptoms.

I’m Not a member of EN, no matter what the posters say. The purpose of EN is to provide a female presence in the case of childbirth. Most cases of childbirth are not life threatening, No matter how the posters demand that they are. So the creation of EN makes sense. If emergency transportation is needed – EN will call EMS. That’s because Hatzola refused to work with them!

I really don’t know if you practice medicine or once did. But if you do, it shows your incompetence!

Not sure why my post was removed, (had to be visible for some time as CAD responded to it).

Yet I find it weird that one who practices medicine would not know the off label uses for albuterol, its pretty common stuff.

I would think that terbutaline would be given as a tocolytic instead of albuterol.

Delusional……. but anyway. As demonstrated with an item that while on the internet, is most decidedly NOT in a Wikipedia entry or easily found, and you couldn’t cut and paste……..the correct answer is Proctalgia Fugax, with its one study showing effectiveness of Salbutamol (Albuterol, it’s more common name in the US). So now after you Google that, you’ll understand how the rest of us have been feeling during this conversation. And with that……I’m out.

    #1503158

Health, let’s bring the entire conversation leading up to that pull quote you provided just now

CAD – “Having participated in almost every aspect of pre-hospital care, public, private, and volunteer, I can safely say the rate of incompetence amongst all agencies is pretty constant”
    (health responds)
This I agree with. But other agencies have options that deal with incompetence. They have supervisors and lawsuits. Try suing H & keeping your kids into Frum schools!
But other agencies have options that deal with incompetence”

    (CAD responds)
So does Hatzolah. From remediation classes , to practice under observation, to restriction of privileges, to suspension, to termination. Its all there, much like every other BLS/ALS organization. Does it catch everyone? No, but neither does the 911 system’s QA/QI. Incompetence falls through the cracks sometimes, in EVERY organization.

    (Health responds)
CAD -“to practice under observation, to restriction of privileges, to suspension, to termination.”

LOL!!! You must be a Hatzola guy. ****The only case of termination that I heard is when an EMT on Hatzola was working with H Medics & and they let the guy die! ****This EMT went to a Godol for a Din Torah. And the Medics & the leadership were opposing him – so they they threw the guy off!
And btw, it wasn’t me – like I posted many times – I never joined them!
    End quotes

So basically your denial and counter-argument to someone else’s point consists of your entire rational.
Until that point you would not mention your issues with Hatzola because it would ”involve issurim”
And a reader is supposed to figure out that 200+ comments into a thread is where you will slip in your real issue??
And we should believe that you can run an organization??
Only way you can run it is into the ground.

Oh and BTW to defend this foolishness of yours?
Hey I am not involved so I know no details nor stats, nor have I ever tried to find them out, but I know at least 3 people who have been suspended / under observation by Hatzola for infractions.
I don’t know the details cause it’s none of my business.
But that’s 3 that I heard of WITHOUT EVEN TRYING!!!! so to claim they have no disciplinary procedures is just plain foolishness. Or outright lying. Your choice. I don’t claim to know with any degree of certainty if you are a fool or a pathological liar.

The reason I wrote it’s not current is because of this:

“Braman SS. Chronic cough due to chronic bronchitis: ACCP evidence-based clinical practice guidelines. Chest. Jan 2006;129(1 Suppl):104S-115S.
Aagaard E, Gonzales R. Management of acute bronchitis in healthy adults. Infect Dis Clin North Am. Dec 2004;18(4):919-37
Tan T, Little P, Stokes T. Antibiotic prescribing for self limiting respiratory tract infections in primary care: summary of NICE guidance. BMJ. Jul 23 2008;337”

I’m not interested in anyone’s help. I already posted why I came to this topic. I came to warn people – I know that in most cases – I won’t be believed. Most calls are not life-threating & the one’s that are – you don’t need EMS per se. Nowadays they have Automatic Defibs in shopping malls. They save lives. When s/o calls for EMS, they expect minumum care.
I hardly seen them work, but in three cases I’ve seen, amongst other cases, they convinced the caller – no transport was needed. One of the cases ended up with a death.

    It’s a pleasure.
You are correct . When I said ”help you” I meant in your quest to make hatzolah better.
I should have wrote ”perhaps people would have taken your words to heart ”

No I don’t think you kept quiet. And I also rethought my final comment and decided it was out of bounds.
But there is no way to unwrite a comment once you push send.
May hashem send you much simcha and bracha in your life together with the rest of כלל ישראל.

    Thanks.
The biggest problem with these orgs. like Hatzola & EN, are the fact that they are volunteer.
S/o who does this part time can’t be as good as a paid professional.
I’m waiting for all the responses from the Know It Alls!

What I think health is saying (and I agree) is that most Hatzola members don’t have nearly the same experience as someone who works professional ems full time. The same would be true of anything. Someone who does construction as a lparnassa is going to be better at it than someone who does DIY projects on weekends.

Actually I once read this issue in Jems. If you can’t find it, I’ll explain what I remember!

I think this argument is wrong.
The reason a ”professional ” would be better is not because he is getting paid. One does not make one more knowledgeable nor more experienced
Since hatzolah’s response time is based on having so many members, and since I have never heard anyone claim that calls go unanswered, there would be no difference in the amount of calls taken And therefore no difference in experience.
So the only difference would be, are they eating donuts between calls or doing something productive.
If you can make a logical case that being paid to eat donuts makes a better emt, I would love to hear it.
Until that case is made though, I think that logically speaking, someone who is giving up their time is probably much more dedicated and motivated, than someone who is doing it for the money.
Anyone in the business world can tell you there are plenty of fully paid workers who do nothing but game the system.
    Judge merit-on merit.
Don’t take the selflessness of hatzolah members and use it to knock them down

This is correct! But your assumption why Paid professionals are better – isn’t.
Do yourself a favor and read the Jems article. If you can’t find it, come back.
