You can continue cancelling flights if you already understand American Airlines cancellation policy and are familiar with the airline’s air travel regulations. You only need to adhere to these few procedures.
Flight Cancellation Procedure for AA
Visit the official American Airlines Booking website first, then enter your information to find the flight.
Select the flight you want to cancel by clicking the “Cancel Flight” button after that.
You can then formally cancel your reservation with American Airlines by clicking “confirm cancellation” in the new tab.
You will receive a confirmation email from AA with a refund code, cancellation confirmation, and ticket number after your cancellation. The email can be kept on hand for future reference and safety.

I’m not sure what is the purpose of these posts. EVERY airline has its cancellation policies for every class of service and ticket offered on its tariff sheets posted on its website or available at any ticket counter. That is required by law. Any temporary CHANGE to those terms must also be visibly posted on the website. Most, but not all, airlines will ask you to click on an “I Acknowledge” link referring to your having read and understood any refund, change or cancellation charge on the screen before you finalize a ticket purchase. The latter format is not required by law and is sometimes quickly passed over by ticket purchasers.
