August 14, 2013 5:08 pm at 5:08 pm #1185028rebdonielMemberDifferent sodas go with different foods. Coca Cola goes well with cholent, but I generally only drink it during Pesach. Dr. Brown’s cel-ray goes well with liver, cream soda with pastrami and black cherry with corned beef. I don’t know if this is a soda, per se, but the Baltika “lemonade” goes well with Bukharian food, and San Pellegrino Aranciata goes well with Italian food. August 14, 2013 5:19 pm at 5:19 pm #1185029SpunkMemberJamaican Ginger ale. It’s spicy August 14, 2013 5:23 pm at 5:23 pm #1185030ToiParticipantgrape soda mmm hmmm August 14, 2013 5:34 pm at 5:34 pm #1185031TheGoqParticipant“Coca Cola goes well with cholent, but I generally only drink it during Pesach.” Why dont you drink your cholent the rest of the year? No jokes, I saw a flyer from a well-known (tzedakah??) organization stating that with your donation of blah blah you can choose “a portrait of your favorite gadol”. What if I think that one has a way cooler beard, but another one wears a really funky rabbi hat? Nowadays, I generally prefer Ginger Ale (Seagram’s, Canada Dry), unless I specifically want caffeine, in which case my favorite is probably Dr. Pepper, but I end up drinking Coke anyway because that’s what they have in Shul :).
