Remember the thread about my shaitel that somehow got ruined when I had it washed and set? So I stopped in to talk to them, but the woman who does the wigs wasn’t there, so I have to return. In the meantime, my mother spoke to the shaitel macher who sold me the wig, and she said if the person washing the wig puts too much cream rinse where the hair is tied it can make the hair come out! I’m terrified to wear the wig because the hair is falling out! So, I’m wondering, before I go back again, should I be asking for some kind of reimbursement? (I left a message for my rav, but he hasn’t called back yet).

why dont you ask for them to either add hair to this one and make it as good as new or a new (they should pay half or something) wig

Why not HIGHLIGHT the problem with the proprietor? Surely she doesn’t want her reputation COLORED by your negative experience with the hair loss? See if she can resolve the ROOT of your problem as suggested by adorable, otherwise you will have to PART company and find a more user-friendly establishment.

    HAIR today, gone tomorrow.

So, the damage was done to not one of my Shaitels, but two! I went in to speak to the staff/owner about it and, not surprisingly, they tried to blame the damage on the poor quality of my wig. The fact that I’ve owned it for more than three years with no such problem before (and that they washed and styled it for me numerous times with no problem) is irrelevant. I’m considering suing them.
