    The point of life

Is for mankind to attach himself to Hashem like we learn from David. He attached himself to Hashem from morning to night in every category and even sang Tehillim to Hashem out of love-versus only as a prayer.

These two concepts, and any other espoused in the Seforim ha’Kedoshim, are different ways to express the same idea – namely, to be Makayem Ratzon Hashem. That is the purpose of life. This, of course, requires much discernment to determine what Hashem wants for each individual at any given time. As the original quote goes, G-d is in the details.

Torah and Mitsvos. Like Duh! This is NOT a hidush.

Also: To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

    Where is that written?

It’s not from Jewish sources. The direct source is Conan the Barbarian. The indirect source is Genghis Khan.

sorry but the messilat yesharim does not say that. In the first words of the messilat yesharim he write that man was put in this world to DERIVE pleasure from Hashem not to give pleasure to Hashem, Hashem doesn’t need us to give him “Nachat Ruach”. Hashem doesn’t need us at all, we need Him. since Hashem is “רב חסד” , he created the world in order to do Chesed with man.
