i take out the sukkah motzei yom kippur and i Put It Up In the 2 days after that.

We do it in parts. First the walls before RH, then the schach Motzei YK, and the decorating is left up to the kids to do.

Where did you see if was an inyan on mepal’s part to do it this way? Perhaps it was just convenience?

ours is up way b4 rosh hashana usually around rosh chodesh elul—-& our sukkah is wood so takes time to put up…sometimes my father starts when im in camp…for sure by labor day the whole thing is up….and the schach usually motzie yom kippur sometimes tzom gedalia
