I’m interested in people sharing their thoughts on where klal yisroel will all be in 100 years. Will we be stronger? Weaker? Will there still be the bulk of frum yidden living in America? Moshiach by Then?

Moshiach is coming this year. No need to ask about 100 years from now.

We’ll have a Sanhedrin enforcing full Torah Law compliance.

Go hundred years back and think whether people could have predicted current events. Go 200 years back and think whether people could have predicted events 100 years ago.

in 100 years from now someone is going to be asking his friend what is going to happen in 100 years from now.

The men and boys will all be in the Beis Medrash learning Torah all day.

The woman and girls will be ensuring the men and boys have everything they need to learn Torah all day.

100 years ago, could the current state of affairs have been predicted?

Ujm even in the times of the Beis Hamikdash, most people were not learning all day, if at all. That’s why the Mishna gives the example of the worker on the dovecote who needs to stop and read Shema.

I was saying what do we THINK will be in 100 years. I know Moshiach will have long ago came, but what what things look like now, what’s it going to look like then?

    Also enforcing wives’ obedience.

Minhagin will converge, once we have a single, unifying Tzaddik as a king. Very likely that we’d end up dressing alike, or at least fewer varieties.

All jobs will be outsourced, which is a fruition of איש תחת גפנו, and is a concept that has already begun to the shape. A reimagined, safe internet will include a way for a יולדת to pay for her Korbanos.

The Biur Halacha 427 when it came to 5743 says, that Meshiach had come already a long time ago.

you don’t have a dishwasher and a car? Still using your horse’s manure on your fields? 99% of what people were dreaming about for Moschiach to bring (in gashmiyus) is here.

Yes but even the Rambam says Olam keminhago noheg. You’ll still go to work, drive cars etc.

    Ujm,

What did the women do all day in the מדבר they didn’t need to clean, sew, or launder (the ענני הכבוד took care of that) they didn’t really need to cook (the מן) so what did they do?

    #2029895

Women were making sure that their husbands and sons are learning rather than shmoozing!

Also, women get their knowledge about the behavior at home from their mothers. First generation needed to learn on their own. They also heard ten commandments.

I think women will certainly be busy learning plenty in the Messianic era.
We have so few mitzvos that we can keep without the Beis Hamikdash, and once the Beis Hamikdash is built, there will many, many halachos that all Yidden will have to know, and know well.

    Ujm,

I DIDN’T say WHAT will the men learn, I asked will they, and if you say yes then why can’t women daven all day

Dear CA, I’m not arguing with you; I’m simply asking for your explanation. I made a mistake misreading your question about men when skimming your comment. My answer to your question about men is “yes”. Are you saying, therefore, women will be davening all day?

In the Midbar they were free to learn as shmita time which is compared to midbar sinai. The Kohanim, who were also supported, were free to learn when it was not their time to do the avoda. The women were busy raising children so they only learned what was necessary for them to do their mitzvas.
