On Friday YW and other frum news sites featured a story about a newly hired teacher at a Brooklyn yeshiva. Today it’s gone. How and why?
September 18, 2022 1:07 pm at 1:07 pm #2125866nishtdayngesheftParticipantA good thing. Can you imagine that if there were a law suit and the lawyers brought up comments from some of the so called intellectual and enlightened commenters here?
September 18, 2022 2:11 pm at 2:11 pm #2125905ubiquitinParticipantStory doesn’t make sense
allegedly the teacher is a “woke activist” yet story is no where to be found
Why isn’t the teacher getting all her activist friends reved up.
surely some media would pick up the story . ITs pretty sensationalWhole story is really bizarre

The story is still there if you know how to Google. All the groups I’m in are flooded with screenshots like Talia asking on a Jerusalem Facebook group in 2016 about what one wears to a famous kever and if jeans are okay, and the comments refer to the person as Kevin.
There’s many other Facebook posts. “Talia” also asks on Secret Tel Aviv where the best gay clubs are.
I’m not even sure these people are Jewish. “Talia” joined many groups and forums and seemed to be trying to get information on how to fit in and seem frum. In one Facebook post they ask what bracha to make on pizza in a chareidi resteraunt in Israel because they want to get the culture cues down.
Big red flags. In another post they claim they moved from Israel and are sefardim and don’t know about kashrus in America because they are Israeli.

September 19, 2022 5:12 pm at 5:12 pm #2126295HaKatanParticipantI read that he was fired, but who knows?
September 19, 2022 5:44 pm at 5:44 pm #2126342ParticipantParticipantthis sounds exceedingly interesting. I want to google it but don’t have enough keywords from this topic. Is it about the transgender talia who applied as a woman?
September 19, 2022 8:16 pm at 8:16 pm #2126377yaakov doeParticipantYes, hired by Magen David as a woman. I also tried searching for news and couldn’t find anything after the story was pulled.
September 19, 2022 9:46 pm at 9:46 pm #2126387AviraDeArahParticipantIt’s a lot worse than meets the eye. His husband is a communications director, student Liason, and hebrew language teacher at YU. Talia, whatever his name really is, married and adopted a child with him, and are supposedly welcomed in the YU community in Washington heights, he claims, in an interview with times of Israel.
His husband, bradley, wears a hat and jacket.
It’s sick that such things are normal.
September 19, 2022 10:33 pm at 10:33 pm #2126415ubiquitinParticipantI retract my original comment
the Story surfaced, and while many of the orignial WhatsApp forwards were exaggerated the gist is rightSeptember 19, 2022 11:08 pm at 11:08 pm #2126441ujmParticipantThe story is gone because the transvestite’s lawyer threatened the websites they’ll be sued if they didn’t delete the stories about him.
