Whoever was ??? on ??? had a second chance to bring the ???? ??? on ??? ???.
However, most cases of ????? last for 7 days and would therefore be clear soon after ??? even assuming the person became ??? only on erev ??? . The length of some cases of ????? is indeterminate or lasted a couple of months eg yoledes, mitzora, zav or zava so these may anyway not be clear after only one month in time for ??? ??? . So what is the reason for having ??? ??? davka now on 14 Iyar and not sooner after ???? And when did they eat their ???? ?? On the 14th or on the night of the 15th like by ??? proper?
Clearly the Korban Pesach Sheni was consumed on the night of Iyyor 15th, hence that many people consume a piece of Matzo on nite of Iyyor 15th rather than afternoon of Iyyor 14th.
14-15 of the month may possibly be connected to the fullness of the moon.
Needless to say, penultimately the answer is that this is a Gezeiras haKosuv to be an entire month later.
Also, please bear in mind, that the original Divine Plan, was to have a Yom Tov, each month during the Summer. Pesach Sheni is the Yom Tov for Iyyor. Came Tammuz which should have had the grandest of all Yomim Tovim, and got messed up by the Eigel haZohov, striking 3 months with no Yomin Tovim. ….. These 3 holidays are all made up to some extent in Tishri, hence 4 separate holidays in Tishri:- 1) R.H. 2) Y.K. 3) Sukkos 4) Shemini Hag ho’Atzeres to pay back Tammuz, Ov , Ellul as well as have one for Tishri itself.
the Torah not only allowed another oppertunity for those who are Taamai to “bring” (eating the Korbon was not “as” important) a Korbon but those who were not able to travel. Also heard that the 14th was to commemerate when the Matzoh that the yidden brought out of Mitzrayim was finally used up.

The Piskei Tshuvos 5:492 brings down that scrupulous individuals are accustomed to eat matzah on peasach sheni. In footnote 9, he brings down that in the siddur Yaavetz (Rav Yaakov Emden) that it was revealed to him from the heavens that the kedusha of pesach and matzah lasts until pesach sheni because when they went out from Egypt they ate the matzos that they came out with until the 15 of iyar (whereupon the man fell as it says in Kiddushin 38).
Shticky Guy:- When the Torah refers to Pesach in conjunction to Nisson, it is exclusively referring to afternoon of Nisson 14th. Thereafter the Torah calls it Chag haMatzos, as indeed we do in our prayers.
Hence albeit we socially refer to the week of Pesach as “Pesach” rather than “Chag haMatzos” it technically is inaccurate. However, by Pesach Sheni, we somehow seem to do it the correct way, referring to the Zeman Shechitas hePesach as “Pesach” as does the Torah in conjunction with “Nisson 14th” being called “Pesach laShem”.
