    OK, I seriously want to know the answer to this without it stirring up controversy.

    Does anybody know how Jon Voight ended up learning Chabad Chassidus, volunteering for their telethons, narrating Chabad videos, etc?

    He’s not Jewish at all. I’m just very curious if there’s a story known in Chabad circles as to how he got to this point. I can’t find one anywhere.

    Well, if that were true it would beg the questions, why him?

    Also, that would make sense if it were just the narrating gig, but he seems to be a pretty consistent supporter. He’s also a big pro-Israel supporter.

    Per an article i found on google his father was the golf pro at a Jewish country club in Yonkers and he caddied and the golfers took a shine to him and treated him well that was the start.
