So I thought about it and realized, for the same reason “Hashem” isn’t a boy’s name even though it’s zachar.
It could be. Neshama wasn’t a name until someone named their daughter that. Was shloimele the first one?

Yeah basically its inappropriate to name a person Torah. How about naming a boy Taryag? Cool name no?
Because when you make a Mi Sheberach for the girl and call her Torah bas … and at the same time say …Legedelah LeBaal Torah… in front of a Torah scroll no less, it would look odd and contradictory and appear that the father and the Torah scroll are somewhat related ?!?
nah,its because in class they will say “torah says this,and torah says that..” the poor kid would think she is saying all those things 🙂
torah- hmmm i would never imagine you would want to switch from such a heimish name such as you have, especially to go to a lesser one of kedusha! but im glad you dont think of yourself when pple say torah,could get very confusing like i said before!(hey look,does that mean i was actually right for a change yay good for me 🙂 )

Why isn’t Kohen a boy’s name, as are Levy & Yisroel?
well in the Torah Levi and Yisroel are both used as actual names,Kohen isnt
