My poor wife, who as you can imagine is losing her mind from being married to me, was making chicken soup tonight, and she put in pieces from the houseplants. She claims she was “thinning them”, but I didn’t see how that explained putting them in the soup.
She didn’t even check them for bugs!!!
What Would Yoshke Do? What Would You Do?

April 6, 2014 2:39 am at 2:39 am #1111420yaakov doeParticipantrebyidd23 – why ask how old I am? I was told that’s not a polite question to ask of anyone.
April 6, 2014 3:30 am at 3:30 am #1111421👑RebYidd23ParticipantNor is it polite to make fun of people for being more married than others.
April 6, 2014 5:52 am at 5:52 am #1111422☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantAnyhow, why would you need to check houseplants for bugs?
April 6, 2014 7:57 am at 7:57 am #1111423amichaiParticipantafter pesach, your wife deserves a few days of rest. you popa can run the house and cook .
April 6, 2014 8:49 am at 8:49 am #1111424shmoolik 1Participantpopa did the plants have three pointed leaves like canabis?
April 6, 2014 11:35 pm at 11:35 pm #1111425👑RebYidd23ParticipantOr was she trying to poison you with ivy?
April 7, 2014 1:23 am at 1:23 am #1111426popa_bar_abbaParticipantThey had 3 pointed hats like haman.
November 11, 2015 12:42 am at 12:42 am #1111427☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantWere they fruit filled, like hamantashen? Were there fruit flies?

November 11, 2015 2:24 am at 2:24 am #1111429👑RebYidd23ParticipantFor a plant, eating chicken is not as bad as being a vegetarian, but still wrong.
November 11, 2015 7:39 pm at 7:39 pm #1111430screwdriverdelightParticipantdivorce her, obviously

November 11, 2015 9:08 pm at 9:08 pm #1111433👑RebYidd23ParticipantDidn’t the store that sold it check for bugs?
November 12, 2015 12:59 am at 12:59 am #1111434screwdriverdelightParticipantAre you suggesting we rely on the store’s checking???
November 12, 2015 1:50 am at 1:50 am #1111435👑RebYidd23ParticipantNot if you were going to put them in the soup, but afterward as long as you strain the soup and check it for bugs.
November 12, 2015 5:32 pm at 5:32 pm #1111436Avram in MDParticipantIf popa_bar_abba’s wife grew things like parsley as her houseplants, then it wouldn’t be so weird. And if the plant spent its entire life cycle indoors, then perhaps it didn’t need checking?
