Does anybody know anything about the WITS Bais Medrish?
– How are the Rabbis?
– How is the learning? (Intense from what I hear, but what type of intense?)
– What type of guy do they cater too?
– How is Milwaukee?
– How long does it take to get a Diploma with Marquette?
Thanx
P.S. I am in a Chofetz Chaim HS,but my Rabbis want to talk to me about it in a month or two…

December 1, 2011 4:08 am at 4:08 am #831992YW Moderator-42ModeratorDo WITS guys get basketball scholarships to Marquette? How come Tamir Goodman didn’t go there?
December 1, 2011 4:14 am at 4:14 am #831993shmuelgrMemberDo you know if I need to take the SAT’s for the WITS Marquette program?
December 1, 2011 4:29 am at 4:29 am #831994BrainwasheDParticipantYour best bet is to call WITS. WITS, like Vancouver and Dallas that you asked about earlier, depend on your chevrah. where is your chevra going?
December 1, 2011 4:38 am at 4:38 am #831995YW Moderator-42ModeratorI assume you need SAT’s for Marquette, even Touro requires you to put your name on the SAT’s
December 1, 2011 2:51 pm at 2:51 pm #831997JotharMemberMarquette is the home of JRR Tolkien’s notes.

December 1, 2011 8:25 pm at 8:25 pm #831999A Woman Outside BrooklynParticipantWITS is generally a very serious branch, obviously in the Chofetz Chaim mode. The 1st year Beis Medrash Rebbe, R’Zachai, is considered one of the best in the entire CC system.
The Marquette connection rarely if ever happens. You can get credits towards a BTL.

fixed that for you.
December 1, 2011 10:17 pm at 10:17 pm #832001JotharMemberGo to Chaim Berlin instead. More mainstream, and some of the most illustrious CR users went there.
December 2, 2011 4:15 pm at 4:15 pm #832002BrainwasheDParticipantpopa, thanks. Keshgaga hayotzei mipi hashalit…
shmuelgr, don’t plan on staying at wits long enough to graduate from Marquette. You will probably transfer your credits to cc.
December 2, 2011 6:37 pm at 6:37 pm #832003shmuelgrMemberThanx! Do you know what Master programs I can go too with the CC BTL? THanx
December 2, 2011 6:39 pm at 6:39 pm #832004Boris KarshinaParticipantWITS has excellent rabbeim who are around and accessible and very easy to talk to.The learning there is very shtark. The crowd is mostly not yeshivish but not modern.Milwaukee has no kosher pizza shops and one kosher grocery where you can get kosher meat or frozen pizza and isnt close to yeshiva. Its cold and there is snow on the ground for most of the year(but there is a very nice field and for 2 months in the beginning and 2 months at the end of the year is very good for football).Basically if ur going for the gashmius and amenities its not so good but u can still have alot of fun there and doing college at marquette is very hard cause it messes up your yeshiva schedule and there is no yeshiva program(no ones done it in a long time).Much Hatzlacha wherever u go.
December 4, 2011 1:32 am at 1:32 am #832005stanleycParticipantshmuelgr: just curious, why are you basing a life decision on what stanleys like me decide to post on yw? I’m sure whichever quality cc high school you attend has warm and loving rabbeim to give you actual advice. i guarantee that theyll talk to you about branches now if you threaten to leave the system
