March 11, 2011 6:05 am at 6:05 am #748870ZeesKiteParticipantWhy the need for a Passuk? It’s quite obvious. Women are call ‘Bais’ for a reason. An honor and a responsibility.
March 11, 2011 6:24 am at 6:24 am #748871kapustaParticipantOops. Next time I’ll have to read the OP instead of just the first few words.

March 11, 2011 10:02 pm at 10:02 pm #748876truth be toldMemberThe chasida married, and turned her husband into a tzadik. The chosid married, and was reversed into a rosheh by his wife.
I hope I wrote it correctly. Anyone heard this and has a source?
March 11, 2011 10:07 pm at 10:07 pm #748877HaKatanParticipantSee the rishonim on Yaakov’s hiding Deena, during the meeting with Esav in the begining of Vayishlach, so Esav shouldn’t see her. The rishonim seem to say this was not proper as Deena, were she to have been his wife, could have influenced Esav Harasha to be better. Even Esav.

March 13, 2011 3:00 am at 3:00 am #748879golden momMemberShuli not true. It says men have to do all this “things” to remind them who they r and before who they stand like tzizis kapel…where as women don’t need that they r on a higher level that’s y there were only given 3 mitzvos….
Also one reason y a women walks around her husband under the chuppa she is building her home and building a spiritual wall to protect him from all outside influence a women doesn’t need sb to do to her
March 13, 2011 3:01 am at 3:01 am #748880golden momMemberTruth be told. Yes I heard that midrash also
March 13, 2011 3:10 am at 3:10 am #748881HidingUnderCoverMemberEshes Lapidos. She told her “bum” of a husband (I quote my teacher) to bring the wicks she made to the Bais Hamikdash. He became a talmid chacham because of that.
March 13, 2011 3:42 am at 3:42 am #748882ZeesKiteParticipanttbt: It’s a known medrash.
golden mom: I would think women have more than just 3 mitzvohs!
HidingUnderCover: Had she viewed him as such, little would have become of him, possibly her too.
