May 7, 2015 12:50 pm at 12:50 pm #1087543cozimjewishMemberno isnt it something like “If a wood chuck would chuck wood, how much wood would a wood chuck chuck?” ?
May 7, 2015 1:00 pm at 1:00 pm #1087544cozimjewishMemberBTW Rebyidd – are most of your threads just stum random or do I just completely miss the point? (The latter is far more likely I tend to be a bit slow on the uptake 😉 )
May 7, 2015 2:51 pm at 2:51 pm #1087545☕️coffee addictParticipantcoz,
i think it normally goes
“how much wood could a wouldchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood
May 7, 2015 3:49 pm at 3:49 pm #1087546WolfishMusingsParticipant“how much wood could a wouldchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood
The girsa I have is slightly different.
“how much wood would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck would</string> chuck wood”
The answer, of course, is:
He would chuck, he would, as much as he could, if a woodchuck would chuck wood.

May 7, 2015 10:00 pm at 10:00 pm #1087549DvashParticipanttry this…
how much blood would a Beetle bleed if a Beetle could bleed blood;
watdya think?
May 7, 2015 10:43 pm at 10:43 pm #1087550☢️ Rand0m3x 🎲ParticipantI’m pretty sure the first one should be “would,”
and the second one does seem more of a tongue-twister
with “would” as well. (The version I’m familiar with
has “could” in the second place, i.e.,
“How much wood would a woodchuck chuck
if a woodchuck could chuck would?”

June 18, 2015 11:30 pm at 11:30 pm #1087555I. M. ShluffinParticipantSo I was shaking out the tablecloth one Shabbos morning, when everyone else was in shul. As I opened the door to go back inside the house, a woodchuck ran right past me, through the door and into my living room. He was really cute, but I was terrified. My sister ended up finding a goy nearby to chase it out with an oar or a broom or something.
Now we have a whole family of woodchucks in the area. They’ve been trying to uproot our house for years now.
Like I said, cute.
