Is it just me or are other people bothered by seeing pictures/videos of men and women having inappropriate, lets call it, ‘encounters’ on Yeshiva World News?
I understand many of them are husband and wife but many are not.
i know that Yeshiva World News need to report on what’s going on in the world but perhaps it could be done in a more appropriate way…

It’s not just you, it’s anyone whose browser is used for encounters. Google knows your browsing tendencies and shows ads of similar content.

I’ve been thinking of buying a pet lately, and YWN is bombarding me with ads for pet cages!Who says he means those personal ads, maybe he means some of the paid ads.

I’m the only one who thinks op means news articles? not sure which articles he’s referring to. I don’t have any Google ads on ywn. everyone else does?
I agree with the op in regard to dress and language in many of the posted clips.

If you are worried about seeing stuff on the Internet that goes against what a ben or bas Yisrael should see on the Internet, then you should not be in the Internet even with a filtered connection.

I think if the site’s name is Yeshiva world it would have news for someone who is yeshivish
I mean if a person doesn’t care about seeing inappropriate material he can go to the numerous goyishe (or not frum) news sources

Ok,I’m sure it was a one off I’m sure it was a mistake on behalf of YWN editors who were not expecting Biden to do that in front of millions.
But generally I haven’t seen a lot of pritzus on YWN b4
After reading 15 posts, I’m still not sure what the OP is talking about. Was there a specific video attached to a specific news story you found offensive. If so, could you explain. I think YWN editors do a great job in screening the material that is posted here and thread the needle with great care. I’m often offended by some of the stock photos that are attached to headlines to convey a negative visual but that is their option to convey a visual editorial slant. If you don’t agree, you are always free to start up your own platform with your own posting standards.
P.S. If you are so offended by “pritzus and grobkeit”, where have you been for the past 4 years when we had to endure the nightly P&G visuals emanating from the WH and MAGA rallies??

@mbachur (AKA Coffee Addict) and @trybepolite You’re still relying on YWN standards as to what they consider appropriate, and those standards may not be the same as yours. So my advice would be not to rely on the frumkeit standards of anonymous people on the Internet. If you want your eyes to stay 100% pure and kodesh, stick with seforim. Besides, the video in question was hardly problematic. If that’s what you take issue with, you definitely need to stop leaving the Beis Medrash.
YWN also slips up on occasion and prints stuff that go against their standards too. There was an article some time ago that quoted Louis Farrakhan (may Hashem bring him to teshuva soon) and used language that is certainly not something you want your children reading.
