I heard about a wedding today which the kalla s side moved 250miles on 2 days notice due to a medical emergency on the chossons side
what a zechus for the chosson and kalla!

ca – I remember that! A co-worker of mine showed me the pictures at the time, it was a very close friend of hers.
When my son was in 8th grade he came home from school soaked and cold. He’d obviously walked, mid winter, in the snow. I asked him what happened and he said Rebbe was speaking to him so he missed his ride. I asked him why he didn’t try calling, I would have been happy to get him in this weather (a mile away) and he said that if he asked Rebbe to borrow his phone Rebbe would have realized he made him miss his ride and he didn’t want his Rebbe to feel bad!!!!!

I can tell you that Syag and her husband are wonderful people doing a great job in raising a family. But the source of truly caring for others comes from her mother, o’h. She laid the foundations for one of this countries greatest chesed organizations, without any fanfare whatsoever. Surely the greatest out of town organization.

I think St. Luis but maybe not. And it was in 2006 or 2007, my co-worker is from Atlanta. Remember the story and the pictures better that I remember the details. Could there be two?

Yes, I left that job in 2008 not 2007. I’m sure it was her. And her friend who I worked with got married and I haven’t spoken to her in a while but I just emailed her, thanks to you. She was from Atlanta and went to college here in Chicago. Just remembered her friend was from the midwest and that she was missing the wedding so we looked at the pictures her friend emailed. I remember being very ‘jealous’ of her because I had planned my sons bris to be in my moms hopital room so Eliyahu HaNavi could be there but she was moved to ICU for the last time just as the men were davening and we had to divert them from driving to the hospital. I was glad she succeeded where I did not.

I happen to know the chosson’s family and i must say whoever has mechutanim like they do are very very lucky!!! the kalla’s family were so easygoing about the whole thing even though the whole wedding was being re-planned within like 4-5 days they were happy to go along with it if that’s what would help the choson’s family. And the kallah herself was the same – and bh it was an amazing wedding!!! completely packed out, so so leibedik, shloime gertner came and sang a few songs just to join along in the simcha. Also in the planning stages, all the people involved – the photographer, the band, the caterer etc etc all were so happy to help out and did whatever they could to make this wedding work out in london – Mi Keamcha Yisroel! and apparently the whole thing would never have happened without Moishe Davis the wedding planner who almost arranged the whole thing and said he was doing it as a chessed to help out the family and didnt take payment.
does she have any brothers, say, about 20 or 21 years old? 🙂
