I would like to take a poll to see how old most coffee-roomers are. What year were you born?

We did that too but not on tisha b’av. They now have bus tours every tisha b’av that go there.

One of the rules of this hallowed place is not to pry personal information out of others. Most coffee-roomers would like to remain anonymous, not having their ANY private details revealed – me included. (of course one may choose to do so at their own peril, that is their own undoing).

That being said, I think Froggies are not born.

With regard to privacy, I think birth year is a pretty safe one.

Jfem, alone, yes. With other details, or even posting style, it might give it away to a friend or relative.

so not one jew is willing to reveal his or her year of birth?

I think you were given a couple clear reasons why people would be hesitant.

Notice that even JF, who thinks it would be harmless, did not share her birth year. And you too, the OP, did not reveal yours.

Interesting, we still still don’t have a huge sample, but so far, aside from PBA, the chevra here is a bit older than I would have expected. We also have a yid (a rebyid) who recalls all of his gilgulim. See, this is an interesting study.

Next threads will be your mother’s maiden name and the last 4 digits of your social security number. After that we will have to get creative.

It is interesting that even BoruchSchwartz did not reveal his birth year (and even if he [or anyone else, for that matter] did, there is no telling if it is true [like popa: 1996, right!])

Hey, a lot of things start with J. No, he isn’t Jellybeans. But what I meant was that he’s a real person but he’s not really on the CR.

This is all very mysterious… unless he has bribed one of the mods to hide his identity, or maybe his profile was removed after his last post, which was a day ago, before anyone tried to go to his profile…

Anyway if you want to know the year of my birth, it is 1892. I’m either very old, or a ghost. You choose.

I was born in 1200 bce, deep in the forests of west Germany. My father made pickles and my mother drank beer. We laughed and sang and cried deep into the night.

Then I disappeared and reappeared in the CR.
