Why isn’t this story “pinned” to the top of YWN? This issue should be treated as pikuach nefesh!

Then we would be reading a story about another horrible accident involving a yeshiva bachur and the subsequent “oy ladies wake up, dress tsniusdik”. Now it can be addressed for what it is, alcohol abuse by a yeshiva bachur who compounded his stupidity by getting behind the wheel of a car.

Secondly, we have spent so much time bashing drinking that we have never actukkyy face the issue. Drinking has been part of judisim for many many years. What ever simcha you go to the first thing you hear is le’chiam. Yet we tell our yeshiva boys your men at thirteen but only for the not fun stuff but for drinking your little kids. The gemara says mayim ginuvim yemtaku, stolen water is sweeter every where yeshiva guys go the see booze but cant have it,so of course when the get access thay will drink as much as they can. When my husband went to yeshiva thats all he would do. Weneed to face the music and teach them how to drink RESPONSIBLY! That the only way we can my a dent
