I just listened to Abie Rottenberg’s “Yeshivishe Reid”. Just wondering, is it that annoying to the Jews “outside” the Yeshivishe Velt? I think it simbolizes us as learning and frum Jews. (OK, I’m a girl, so I don’t speak the REAL yeshivish.)
just posting to make u feel good. felt bad that u had no posts and its been up for an hour. You owe me one. this is ur b-day present
There were some conversations on this site previously that seem to imply that some are annoyed about it.

HaLevi: What’s there to be annoyed with?
Guy: Why, thank you!

I don’t consider myself yeshivish and do not find it annoying, provided its used in the proper context.

Sorry mods I apologize. I don’t think anybody minds it, it’s just a nice song with no bad intentions.
It’s annoying when people use yeshivish phrases in conversation with people who don’t understand the language. Other than that, I doubt anybody minds.
its not so much the reid as teh accent…if any of you know what i mean…and the constant hand motions DO annoy me. if i wanted that id speak to italians.
