It’s become very popular at non-Yekkish weddings too. Now if they sing it after the cups broken, then you know that they’re Yekkish. And that you somehow traveled back to 1962.
Wasn’t Adam Ha-rishon the first Yekka, when the pasuk says “A’yekkah:”
I am Yekke, and my wife is Iraqi Sephardic.
According to some Chabadniks I know, if a Yekke and a Chabadnik, they have children who are always exactly one hour late.
