What are your oldest memories (and how long ago are they from)?

Visiting my grandparents overseas and getting sick on the plane. I still remember the smell of roasted corn on the cob that the street vendors were selling. I was 2.75 years old. That was decades ago.

I remember being near a mountain and seeing a bright light from the top and hearing a scary voice from the top
My great grandfather was niftar when I was 22 months old. He lived with us his final year of life. I can remember seeing my father help dress great grandfather and that he wore long john underwear……
That memory is more than 60 years old…but I won’t tell you how many more years than 60.

I remember reading the I remember when..
Reading Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn when it first came out.
Being told not to touch the mountain and hearing what sounded like thunder. There was then a loud voice coming from up above. I was quite young and didn’t understand the words I heard.
Riding in a station wagon (carpooling to playgroup) on the seat facing backwards. The girl sitting next to me vomited all over me. When I got to playgroup I was excited to change in to the clothing I never got to wear (aka the extra set my mother sent in the beginning of the year in case of an accident). I was 2.5 at the time.
Pretending to be sick one day so I can stay home from school to read Mark Twain’s Tom Sawyer.
I recall sleeping on a cot in a room adjacent to my parents’ bedroom.I probably was around three or four. My parents had the only AC in the house, in their room, and there was a second room off theirs, with the wall opened up so it was almost like one huge room, and I remember sleeping in the cot, with my baby sister in the crib next to me. We were only 19 months apart, so it makes sense if she was a year and a half to two years old, that I was three to four-ish. I have a very vivid memory of that time.

i remember that when i was 2 i used to love purple towels…
but i just realized- i still remember scenes from when i was one – my father coming home and saying, ” i’m sorry kids, but i wasn’t able to get you lollypops from the bank-they ran out
i remember when we got of the boat… and we turned around to watch it unload…and sparkling in the sunlight’s reflection on the water…”twa’s the Mayflower
