I’m still trying to get a definition of the word “spam”. I get emails from “Yeshiva World Sponsors”. Is that spam? I once got an email from a CR moderator. Is that spam?
I suppose all those solicitations I get to help someone in Nigeria liquidate a dormant bank account, and solicitations from pharmaceutical dealers are called spam (they usually end up in my spam folder and I only notice them when I’m looking for an email which wasn’t in my inbox), but can an email from a company I’ve dealt with be called spam? If there’s no working unsubscribe link, that’s wrong, but it’s still easy enough to filter them out.
Unrequested commercial emails are spam. If they don’t have an unsubscribe option, they are definitely spam.
