December 16, 2010 7:29 pm at 7:29 pm #940683aries2756ParticipantTo me it seems like a Jewish Readers Digest. Informative, interesting, stories long enough to feel satisfying, intuitive….
December 16, 2010 7:34 pm at 7:34 pm #940684HadaLXTPMemberExtremely interesting articles. Cover to cover reading. Not every article is for everyone. They go in depth on articles you may have seen or glimpsed before.
December 16, 2010 7:38 pm at 7:38 pm #940685dunnoMemberThey have very informative articles.

March 24, 2013 8:09 am at 8:09 am #940688playtimeMemberI think it is a very strange publication. Some articles are mainstream, but others are the type of stories you would hear on a 2am freaky radio show, along with ‘out-of-body-experiences’ and UFOs. I think it is a creepy magazine, especially for young kids. my opinion.
March 24, 2013 2:22 pm at 2:22 pm #940689Mr SfardiParticipantIts an amazing Magazine. DO NOT start to read it if you are about to do something important because you will not end up doing it
March 24, 2013 4:06 pm at 4:06 pm #9406902scentsParticipantIt’s a mixture of two Yiddish magazines. Der shtern and der shpoktiv.
March 24, 2013 10:20 pm at 10:20 pm #940691playtimeMemberI like the idea of a magazine printing worldly stories as well, and not just Jewish ones. But why can’t they write normal, mainstream stories- and not creepy ones?
To me, it is also ridiculous that they feel they must connect every story to a Jewish source, so the first paragraph of a weird story will have some whacky, far-fetched connection to some Jewish source.
Although their cover stories are usually mainstream.
March 24, 2013 10:47 pm at 10:47 pm #940692OblateSpheroidMemberZman is awesome. I try as hard as I can to obtain old ones as my family doesn’t buy them.
March 25, 2013 5:39 am at 5:39 am #940693no longer need seminaryMemberWe just started getting zman about 4 months ago. I love it and so does my family. They have interesting stories about obama, osama bin laden, pple escaping from jails, missing people, shark attacks, the modern day titanic (forgot the name of the ship something like the corna copia or something.) diamond thefts…… They cover a range of genres eg: mystery, inspirational, scary, interesting, intelligent, political etc.
Its suitable for men and women and is geared for ages 14 and up.
