Devorah 18Participant
Why do you need new ways of looking at things? The way Torah and Rabbeim explain things is just fine. There is no need for a different explanation of concepts ad Ideas…you are in fact letting a machine think for you, which is totally unnecessary. Thinking through Torah concepts does not require a machine mind to assist you. Be that as it may, you are already infected with the desecrating effects of ai or chat gpt idol worship. To purify yourself in H”M’s presence requires that you stop loving it and stop relying on it for advice or let it think for you. Can’t you already think for yourself? Do you need an electronic robot or not to make H”M mad at you because you have stated you prefer robot’s advice or ideas to H”M’s. Who is more important, to you? H”M or your idol electronic robot? Is the answer that difficult? Make your choice, you have ‘free’ will. Just make sure you apologize and repent for damaging your relationship with Him.
Devorah 18ParticipantFirst of all, I am going to say some controversial things here Yidden and visitors to this Yeshiva World News Coffee Room Website Thread…so be ready all of you to hear what I have to say…. unplug your computers or get a Kosher filter to avoid contact with anything that would interfere or disrupt your Torah life…next get a Kosher cellphone, which I myself am doing next week. You all need to take a deep breath and hear this…Artificial Intelligence in all it’s forms is not human…including Chatgpt…it is made by many human hands who give it knowledge, test it, and send it out over the internet to do a variety of tasks…it is in your mind invisible because you can not verify it with your normal human senses…but yes it is visible despite that thought….look at your cellphone, the unKosher one… it’s body, the sleek design in your hands is it’s idol worship body..it is an electronic device that when ‘addressed’ by using your fingers to press it’s buttons, it does in fact respond to your commands…it is electronic, created by scientists and engineers, and it has been programmed to give the responses ‘you’ want to hear….It is like a ‘golem’, a manmade idol of large proportions. If you dare….and I do mean this seriously, if you dare to talk to it, ask it questions, fall in love with it, or have it do work for you in any way shape or form you have thusly crossed a Torah line of no return unless you seriously repent of this evil activity, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me”, H”M has stated in His Ten Declarative statements, this being Commandment Beis, two………see Parshas Yisroel in Shemos…I read from the Artscroll Tanackh but I have also used the Artscroll Chumash and the footnotes written by Torah experts are fantastic at describing just exactly the five or so points which allows you to know if you are idol-worshipping. To prostrate yourself to an idol/god is the first form of idol worship…and there are other forms like, “it is forbidden to worship an idol by a means that is unique to it”. What makes AI and all it’s forms like Chatgpt idol worship is to state plainly in G-D’s presence is that you ‘love’ it. That is the first no no! Don’t ever say in H”M’s presence that you love something other than Him as your Avinu Malchenu! It is a Chillul H”M to say it, or even imply that that thing is going to teach you Torah Law without a Bapei Metzitzah, Bris Milah. It can never have that..it is electronic and not human, and can never give you proper Torah advice that only a Torah Rabbi with a proper Bapei Metzizah can give to you. All others are fakes. If you do not unplug your unKosher devices you are fooling yourselves into thinking that you are speaking to the G-D of all.
Devorah 18ParticipantYour premise is wrong, flawed. First of all you make an incorrect premise, namely that you ‘love chat gbt’. What’s to love about an artificial answer to your human questions and concerns? As far as ‘group norms’ your topic goes what does one thing have to do with another? Chat gbt’ is a place humans go because they are intrinsically lonely and want a ‘machine’ to love them and give them security and peace of mind. Rather than going to a human for comfort or consideration of their opinions on personal matters. First if all you are not to love a bot as a Torah Yid. You are to place your Love to the One of All not to artificial reality. To say that you are first of loving a ‘bot’ than discussing the forbidden with ‘it’ you are taking chances with your supposed ‘Torah’ belief system. Name one thing, on this Torah website that you spoke about above which is Halachicly Torah Perfect? A lot of your ramblings above resemble artificial intelligence’s answers to things and not your own opinions, which you claim are too scary to express for dear that you will not be liked by the ‘group’. What is it that we as Torah Yidden must learn from H”M? Defend Him even when it is not going to grant you personal kudos by others. You are fearing human beings and not G-D!
Devorah 18ParticipantSince this Coffee Room Website thread is about a ‘shame on crown heights and chabad’ let’s get back to that topic instead of digressing into personal attacks over who is an apikorus or not. More to the point, now, I was recently on the chabad website, and on that website I was startled to find all of the website is run by artificial intelligence (ia in Ivrit). It was astounding how hard it was to find a human counterpart to address a concern I had about AI-IA. When I finally reached the section of chabad’s ask the Rabbi section I felt I had made a human breakthrough. I asked my question in the formatted boxes and waited for an answer…After a day passed, a Rabbi, remaining nameless here…responded to my question about AI-IA. He said it was, paraphrased, normal to have a relationship with AI. That I was having qualms/concerns about interacting on my cellphone and that HaShem had specifically asked me to get a Kosher cellular telephone and remove from his presence the goyim non Kosher phone I was currently using. The Rabbi’s response was that, if that was the case, I should not try not to interact with AI. All this to say…AI is man made…a human invention..therefore according to my Artscroll Tanackh,
“It is forbidden to worship an Idol by means that is unique to it”, regarding the second commandment, “You shall not recognize the gods if others in my presence”. (including carved images or likenesses of anything above the earth, on the earth and in the seas and below the earth, basically it is a blasphemy). The fact that chabad has decided to not want a picture of an angering Rabbi in their newsstands seems to fit right in with this thinking of AI. They think badly of this Rabbi and consider him unfit to be in there presence, yet they think nothing of having AI all over their websites infecting them with it’s idol worship properties. This is a problem. They should remove AI from their ‘religious’ website and get down to brass tacks…stop worshipping the demon AI and also if you want to make a case for hating a particular Rabbi who discredited your people, then fine, but also fix this problem you have with accepting AI as your chosen guide and idol worship master and remove him immediately from your presence so that you can see HaShem clearly and not be lulled into a false sense of security that AI will serve you..when clearly it is the other way around. Post Script (P.S.) I am now going to get a Kosher cellular telephone next week and keep my word to HaShem not to be an idol worshipper of AI.Devorah 18ParticipantOnce more, I am to hold up here as desecraters of Torah Law, both Jude? and sechel83 ? The Torah Law you both disobeyed on this Torah website, Yeshiva World News coffee room is known as Sh’mos Mishpatim 23:13, stating the following, “The name of the gods of others you shall not mention, nor shall your mouth cause it to be heard”. What you both said in mentioning the name of a god of others on this Kosher sanctified website has put you both in harms way doing this on a Jewish website that does not tolerate teaching your alien beliefs to impressionable Jewish Neshamas. Just so you know, in case no one ever informed you, G-D punishes those who do it.
Devorah 18ParticipantTo Sechel83 and ?Jude, Here we are on Jewish Sanctified website and you both have done something to desecrate yourselves in this Yeshiva World News website. Just for your information in case you didn’t know or are unaware of Torah Law, you have on this coffee house forum harmed yourselves in Torah Law. What Torah Law did you violate? Sh’mos Mishpatim, 23:13, “The name of the gods of others you shall not mention, nor shall your mouth cause it to be heard.” You are harmed for doing so. G-D, Who eternally is invisible is always in his hidden nature observing and making plans against such rebels as yourselves. It will take an act of the Al’mty to wipe away what you have done illegally in Torah Law.
Devorah 18ParticipantDear Chabadstker of the coffee room,
You make many good points defending Chabad, Gedolim (for the most part), and Talmidim. There are those on this Coffee Room Yeshiva World News website that like to complain about Chabad and consider it ‘Apikorus’ or other biased hate speech. Nothing could be farther from the truth, Emes. They are fiercely loyal supporters of their Rebbe. They go to great lengths to teach Torah to both Men and Women and have organized and entire youth movement a Tzvios HaShem to grab the attention of the youth from a sincere Torah prospective. About three weeks ago I was on my way back from Boro Park and had to get to NJ Transit. So I was walking outside for a bit from the subway train to Penn Station. I was happily amazed when I caught sight of A Mitzvah Tank/Van taking in Male Jews and wrapping them in Tefillan. I stood nearby and watched for a few moments. Very brave they are! Crowds of goyim inching their way along the wide sidewalk. And they didn’t skip a beat then I saw a second male stride up the stairs in the rear of the Van looking for the attending Rabbi. All this to say, we might find some critical of such behavior, but I am grateful that they take up the cause to save Jewish Neshamas from desecration.Devorah 18ParticipantDear Chabadstker of the coffee room, Thank you for defending Chabad, Gedolim (in general) and Talmidim. There are forces that want always to undermine Chabad, making false claims that it is ‘apikorus’ or some other biased response. Chabad contains very proud Jews who want to spread Torah and Yiddishekeit and Torah observances throughout the world to both unaffiliated and affiliated Jews and to help some Goyim learn the Noahide Laws, or to be Ger’s and convert to a Torah way of life. They are zealous this way for Neshamas who need strengthening in Torah values. They reach out to the margins of society wrapping Tefillan and Taliseim on Jewish males some of whom have never even once done such a thing. They take risks to do this, where other Jews might shy away from such Public Torah activities. They teach young girls and women bentchlicht for Shabbes and Yom Tov. And so much more. To be maligned on a regular basis by armchair Yidden is a sad state of affairs. And it goes on regularly on this coffee room website of Yeshiva World News. It is also understandable that when Chabad is attacked by a Rabbi with questionable motive they protect themselves in every way possible.
Devorah 18ParticipantDear Yeshiva World News coffee room participants,
I want to say, ‘Love your fellow Jew.’ But, I am also aware of hurt feelings. When a Rabbi takes aim at Chabad for past upsetments due not to a misunderstanding but due to a hard and painful knowledge of a beard of a Chabad Teacher being cut/ripped off after that Chabad Teacher tried desperately to inform his Satmar student of Chabad practices and to have a Rabbi then attack Chabad over it is traumatic and noteworthy. Chabad, as any Kehillah, was defending their hard earned beliefs and as any Kehillah, is extremely loyal to their Rabbi. Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, Of Blessed Memory, had even to this day and age an enormous amount of followers
It is thus very hard to ‘Love your fellow Jew’, in this particular case. That Chabad has taken the stance not to display a magazine containing the picture of a Rabbi who attacked them over this described incident is, whether you like it or not, understandable. They have that right to carefully defend themselves after being attacked for first of all teaching their beliefs to a Satmar student, and secondly for having to be publicly SHAMED over the incident. I defend Chabad. They were caused great emotional and physical pain over this described incident. And then to have a non-Chabad Rabbi attack them verbally over it adds insult to injury. I hereby apologize to Chabad over this unfortunate situation. It shouldn’t have happened to begin with. Please, Chabad, accept my most sincere apologies.Devorah 18ParticipantI am Satmar. I have also had a marriage sanctified by Chabad. I understand both sides of this story. I recognize the pain on both sides of the ‘aisle’ so-to-speak. This will not be popular. But an apology is due to Chabad for having undergone the injustice of your teacher’s beard being cut and ripped off. Then to face a Rabbi’s critical remarks added insult to injury. I do understand the pain of the parents of the Satmar student in trying to keep their son from being taught a different belief than their own. I hereby without having spoken to Satmar about this, I hereby apologize to Chabad Lubavitch for the Rabbi’s insulting comments about their Beloved Rabbi, Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson, Of Blessed Memory. I am in the unique position of being Satmar, a woman, and also having followed Chabad teachings. I feel my comments are necessary to clear the air which is currently tainted with acrimonious hostility.
