Stay home and get out of the fights. It’s a crazy country that is all confused about what it means to be a Jew and how to figure out what hashem wants from us. Either leave the country to be safe or do your thing and don’t get involved and stay safe. Anyone with any common sense knows the answers but most people just want their fame and fortune right now and aren’t really interested in what’s best for the people. It’s really simple, learning Torah is an acceptable job, and being prepared if you can’t learn full time to get a job is also ok. Each person has to know himself what works for him. You want to join an army where some guy will tell you to go on a mission and die – I think it’s pretty stupid as you only have your life – but if you give your life and everything else over to the secular government then what do you expect? Basics really.
