@temimus I’m the lead singer dude.
@WIY We suggested it and they encouraged it. It ended up giving Lev Aryeh a lot of publicity.
LevAryehMember@playtime: Lev Aryeh is a yeshiva in Jerusalem for English-speaking bachurim between the ages of 17-22.
We made The Aveirah Song as part of a few videos which we put together for yeshiva’s purim shpiel this year. (One of the others was Things Not To Say On A Shidduch Date, which is also on our channel on YouTube.)
The positive response we recieved for The Aveirah Song was overwhelming. We toyed with the idea of making a sequel, and after getting many requests for one, we figured it would be a great bein hazmanim project for the bachurim who stayed in Israel for the summer.
We didn’t make the songs to collect for yeshiva; this project was initiated and spearheaded by the bachurim, and encouraged by the hanhala.
LevAryehMember@HaLeiVi: Actually on Rabbeinu Yona (Avos) to “Asu syag latorah”, among other collected Rishonim.
@ultimateskier: I think I wrote the first line for The Chumrah Song about a day or two after The Aveirah Song came out. So, thanks for reading MY mind!
@Popa and Oomis, thanks for the support 🙂 -
