    Let’s tour Boro Park its
    Not big on flea markets
It’s gotten very fancy in 1994
We’re on a tour this morning
    But listen to this warning
You’re in for a shock like
    You’ve never had before

    It’s really quite fantastic
    They’ve covered it with plastic
The streetlamps all are gone now
    There’s crystals chandeliers
You wanna buy a house here
You’ll have to hock your spouse here
    The prices have gone crazy
In just the past 10 years

Let’s stop here just a minute
This store has something in it
    A tallis with an atorah
    of fourteen karat gold
    And here’s a tallis beitel
    To match your shvigger’s sheitel
They’re both bedecked with diamond studs
    They’re genuine I’m told
    LALALALALALALALALA

    Perhaps you’ll think it’s horrible
The roads are paved with marble
    The sewers cover’s finished
    In gleaming silver plate
And note beneath your feet now
There’s carpet on the street now
The pile is plush and thick
And for shopping it’s just great

    Now if your ready mentally
Please park your Rolls or Bentley
And come with me we’re gonna
    Go visiting a shul
    This one’s just a shteeble
    The decor is quite feeble
    Imagine just a sauna
    And no olympic pool

    And unzer shainer yidden
    Are really quite tzufreiden
    With living here in galus
    They really should atone
    When mashiach’s shofar’s blowing
They’ll tell him “we’re not going
We have found the promised land
    So please leave us alone!”

Rocky a”h was my brother. The song was on his one and only album Legacy. The song was way before its time. He was truly a creative genius and a legend.
