True.Many times I have had to set my alarm. But you cant imagine how uplifting it feels to do this. It infuses the rest of the day as well.
Sorry for this belated reply. I just haven’t come back here since I wrote that post. Chatzos is the Chatzos at night. There is usually only one time for that. Here in Israel it is 12:44 a.m. There are 2 times given for Alos Hashachar in Israel right now 4:23 a.m. and 4:33 a.m. I also want to point out that the successes were not immediate except in the case of my daughter. I think with the aguna it took a year or two after that. I did it without her knowing and only afterwards told her. It was worth it only if it made her happy and she felt that someone was on her side.
I said Shir hashirim for my daughter 40 days in a row between chatzos and alos. This segula was suggested by one of my daughter’s teachers at the time. The phone call suggesting the shidduch for her beshert came on the 40 th day exactly. That was 10 years ago (She now has 4 kids). I have since done it for a number of other people with 100% success, including an aguna of 9 years (She got her get and remarried). I plan on starting for another daughter right after Tisha bav. (I once had a shyla about saying it on Tishabav and I feel it’s best to avoid it)
