In January of 1993, I heard Koch bragging on WABC about how he loved pork. He said that he knew that it wasn’t Kosher, but “just loved it” and laughed.

As an idealistic teenager, I wrote him a note and received the following response.. “Dear.. I have your letter of January 1. Thanks for your interest in my place in the hereafter, but I’ll take my chances. All the best. Sincerely, Edward I. Koch”

I wonder how he’s making out.
