The Munkatcher and Dushinsky dynasty have a long history. The present Dushinsky Rebbe’s grandfather, HArav Yosef TZvi Dushinsky ZT”L was Rav of Chust before he moved to Eretz Yisroel to assume the position of Chief Rav of the Edah Hachredis. For many years, RAv Dushinsky ZT”L and his Rebetzin did not have children. Only after recieving the bracha of the previous Munkatcher Rebbe ZT”L the Minchas Elozor, was he zoche to an only son who would grow up to be Harav Yisroel Moshe Dushinsky, Gaavad of the Edah Hachredis, father of the present Dushinsky Rebbe.
The Minchos Elozer was the grandfather of the present Munkaczer rebbe. The previous Rebbe was the son in law of the Minchos Elozer. The present Rebbe’s mother was the daughter of the Minchos Elozer.
