House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is bristling over a question about whether she “hates” President Donald Trump.
Pelosi told reporters at her weekly press conference Thursday that as a Catholic, she resents the suggestion that she hates anyone. She fired back at the questioner: “Don’t mess with me when it comes to words like that.”
The reporter asked: “Do you hate the president, Madam Speaker?”
“I don’t hate anybody,” Pelosi responded.
Earlier, Pelosi announced that the House will draft articles of impeachment against Trump over his pressure on Ukraine to investigate Democrats and political rival Joe Biden as Trump was withholding aid to Ukraine.

Village Idiots on this forum are getting desperate because all previous coup attempts against Trump have failed. In their eyes Trump is guilt because he defeated crooked Hillary.
I watched this yesterday. She didn’t seem “unhinged” to me. Ticked off – moderately angry – definitely, but no way “unhinged.” Compared to what our President says and tweets she came off as positively mild. Interesting that she quotes her Catholic upbringing. I went to public school with Catholic friends back in the day and had Catholic friends on the block. Traditional Italian Catholics really do believe this way, and it’s a credit to her that she quotes her faith in a national forum but without demonizing anybody – just demanded that the reporter respect certain boundaries.
And by the way, impeachment isn’t a “coup,” it’s a legal process enshrined in the Constitution. And far from resulting in a change of government, if Mr. Trump is convicted in the Senate, as unlikely as that seems, we will still have the current administration, but with President Pence – hardly anything revolutionary about him!
