We regret to inform you of the Petira of Mrs Etti Blum A”H of Kew Gardens Hills, wife of Rabbi Matis Blum Shlita, Mechaber (author) of Torah LoDaas; who was Niftar after an illness. The Levaya will take place at the Young Israel of Queens Valley, Main Street & 76th, at 11:30AM on Sunday.

Baruch Dayan Ha’emes. Reb. Blum over the past year and a half used her illness to inspire the entire community of KGH to strengthen themselves in Shabbos and Tefillah. She did everything B’derech Ne’imus and she will be sorely missed by all of Klal Yisroel. May her memory inspire us all to continue her legacy.

Etty wanted everyone to increase their level of tefilla. She highly recommended “Praying With Fire” and as she was really a Tzaddekes and spent the time of her illness being Mechazek the Rabbim and giving Chizuk to others to accept the decree of Hakadosh Boruch Hu, it behooves every single one of us who knew her (even just a little) and who were davenning for her and those whose lives she touched whether by a having us for a Shabbos meal or just saying hello in the fruit store, to make a conserted effort to slowly increase our kavana and the amount we daven each day.
