Republicans are slamming Joe Biden after the presumptive Democratic nominee made a verbal gaffe during a campaign stop in Pennsylvania and said 120 million people had died from the novel coronavirus.
“People don’t have a job, people don’t know where to go, they don’t know what to do,” Biden said Thursday. “Now we have over 120 million dead from COVID.”
As of Thursday, there have been more than 122,000 – not million — coronavirus deaths in the United States, according to Johns Hopkins figures.
After making the error, Biden corrected himself – but the blunder quickly caught the attention of President Donald Trump.
Trump was notified of the clip while being interviewed by Fox News, to which he replied: “That’s a serious error…That’s not a permissible type of error.”
Later that evening, he tweeted the clip of Biden at his campaign event.
The president captioned the video: “If I ever said something so mortifyingly stupid, the Fake News Media would come down on me with a vengeance.
“This is beyond a normal mistake. Why isn’t the media reporting it?”

I’m no fan of Biden’s, but you look stupid for trying to make a big deal out of this.
Trump says these things, and doesn’t correct himself and blames everyone for reporting wrongly on what he said, even though it was said.

Biden’s “gaffes” are no more or less common than others of his age. Our Rav (Im guessing in his late 60s) seems to frequently interpolate mincha and maariv, call the the Chazan by the name of his predecessor who retired 5 or 6 years ago and refer to condominiums by another term related to pregnancy avoidance that I won’t mention here. No one feels compelled to Tweet about his memory loss or otherwise suggest he is losing it. Biden doesn’t talk much differently now than when he joined the Senate over 40 years ago. As the story says, after the gaffe, Biden corrected himself. Has Trump ever done that, or does he think he never makes gaffes, or genuine substantive mistakes. Trump’s staff tried to say he was kidding about slowing testing to make the numbers – and him – look better, but, gaffe or not, Trump said he was not kidding. So simple gaffe versus intentional fraud. That is the question.

The Democrats forced all the young promising candidates out of the primaries 2 days before Super Tuesday, as they never believed they had any chance in 2020, and wanted to keep these good candidates for 2024.
