Channel 2 TV News Anchorman Visits the Mir Yerushalayim

The scene at Mir Yeshiva on Tuesday morning, 7 Shevat 5772 was a rare one, as Channel 2 TV News anchorman Danny Kushmaro visited the Yerushalayim yeshiva during the morning hours.

He arrived along with a colleague on a motorcycle and the entire visit was filmed. He explained he simply wanted to get a glimpse at the largest yeshiva in the world as well as the famous Meah Shearim Street.

Kushmaro met in a Geula coffee shop with the Eida Chareidit’s Shmuel Peppenheim and heard his take on recent events in the community and a synopsis of the daily life of a Toldos Aharon chossid. Accompanying them was Yarach Tucker, who is an advisor to MK Moshe Gafne.

Inside the Mir they simply absorbed the surroundings, taking in the realities of the size and the vibes of the yeshiva, using the opportunity to speak with a few avreichim who shared their daily schedules with the media team. Tucker explained that he hopes to bring additional news personalities, to permit them to “see the beauty of the chareidi lifestyle from the inside, the real perspective”.

Tucker told Chadrei Chareidim that these are individuals who are most influential and play a major role in directing the general public to one direction or another, and it is imperative that they finally see what real chareidi life is like.
