‘KillZimmerman’ Twitter Advocates Violence Against Martin’s Killer

On March 24 a “KillZimmerman” Twitter account began publishing calls for violence against George Zimmerman, the self-appointed neighborhood watch captain who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin on Feb. 26.

Five days later, the account is still on its crusade to avenge Martin.

The sender’s initial tweets made his or her aims clear: “No Justice No Peace!!!!!!!!!! #KILLZIMMERMAN #KILLZIMMERMAN #KILLZIMMERMAN,” they read.

The account’s image is a photo of gun-sight crosshairs superimposed on Zimmerman’s picture.

“This Page Is 4 Da Ppl Who Believe Zimmerman Should Be Shot Dead In The Street,” the Twitter account’s description reads, “The Same Way TRAYVON Was. No Justice No Peace.”

In response to one tweeted complaint on March 24 that the account “is advocating murder,” the account holder replied: “we should just all get up and #killzimmerman ourselves. #AintNoJustice”

“I Think They Should Shoot Zimmerman Dead In His Head Jail Ain’t Enough,” read another message the same day.

  1. I heard this, this morning and am still stunned. Where is Obama? Silent? Oh wait! He is at a democratic fundraiser tonight with Spike lee in attendance. Whether or not Zimmerman turns out to be guilty of murder not with self defense, everyone is innocent until proven guilty. This is a disgrace. This poor guy and his family, I am really disgusted.

  2. Close mindedness do u really think the police wud let thig guy go if they thought he simply killed this guy? Check the police reports anybody ever heard of ballistics? Do u think thwy were done? They wre and what do u think they showed? Surprise travyon martin was on top of zimmerman when he was shot

  3. how is it that the black public can know conclusively that Zimmerman is guilty when the police can not prove it was not self defense?
Guess people like Al Sharpton have nevua…

  4. yk91, no, he is not. He is Peruvian; there are a lot of Hispanics with German-sounding names, because of German immigration to South America.
