HaGaon HaRav Aaron Leib Shteinman Shlita met last week meet with senior officials of the HaMevaser newspaper, and is quoted in the paper as warning against the threat of those who wish to redefine the lifestyle of bnei yeshivos, to compel them to serve in the IDF and to uproot the Torah lifestyle as we know it. The gadol hador warned that we must fear these people far more than the Iranian threat. The Rosh Yeshiva met with the officials in his home ahead of yomtov, to give them a bracha for Pesach.
The rav spoke of those who try to entice bnei yeshiva out of the beis medrash, to pull them out of the world of Torah learning for a life of materialism and the pleasures of this world.
He also gave the senior HaMevaser officials chizuk and reportedly responded to questions pertaining to guidelines for the chareidi media in general.

Isn’t the Chareidi idf division for boys who are not cut out for learning and they are anyways wasting their time in yeshiva? They just can’t leave yeshiva for work because they’ll be forced into the secular army. Now they have a religious atmosfare so what’s the harm
learning for life is for those “special” boys who can do it… it is hard enough as is, with an education to live and make a parnasa, that much harder for those who dont have an education…. encouraging non “iluy” boys to become learners for life and then at 30 with 3 kids waking up and realizing they cant pay their bills and daddy cant support them for life is not the way to live…
