Brouhaha! NJ Gov Christie Confronts Cubs Fan At Brewers Game

Another ballpark brouhaha for Chris Christie.

Carrying a basket of nachos, the New Jersey governor was caught on video confronting a Chicago Cubs fan during Sunday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

The video circulating on Twitter showed Christie leaning over to nearly get in the man’s face at Miller Park, holding the order of nachos in his left hand.

“You’re a big shot,” Christie says before walking down the stairs. It was not known what caused the tiff.

Christie was loudly booed on July 18 at Citi Field in New York after snagging a foul ball during a game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Mets.

Christie was in Milwaukee this weekend to watch the Brewers and Cubs, and was at Friday night’s series opener. His son, Andrew, works in the Brewers’ baseball operations department.

  1. It is important to know how our elected officials behave, especially when they think no one is looking. Christie may have been completely justified in getting in the Cubs fan’s face, but it is unusual for a public official to do that, and it is worthwhile news, notwithstanding that Mr. Christie will be a private citizen in less than 6 months.

Seems it’s only important when said elected official is not liberal.

  3. To galicianer: I did not say anything about liberal or conservative or anything other than “public official.” As a matter of fact, I do not like Christie, but I said he may have been absolutely justified in his reaction to that Cubs fan. And bad behavior by the Clintons (e.g., her secret server, his secret dalliances), Senator Menendez, and a zillion other examples I cannot recall is well covered by the so-called “fake news media,” or “liberal media.”
