Following Objections, Work Begins in Ramat Beit Shemesh Gimmel-2

There were literally thousands of objections to the plan to construct 1,800 housing units in Ramat Beit Shemesh Gimmel-2, but those are now a thing of the past and the groundbreaking and infrastructure is moving ahead.

After a delay of about a year, the tractors have arrived and the project is moving ahead despite the many objections. The new area will be a continuation of RBS Gimmel-1, which is 2,400 units. The first residents are expected to move into that area in about eight months.

According to a HaMevaser report, the Housing Ministry will be constructing a bridge to connect RBS Gimmel-1 to RBS Gimmel-2. The foundation pillars for the bridge are being set into place. The bridge will be four lanes and in the future, it will connect the Beit Shemesh of today to the newer areas, neighborhoods Gimmel, Daled and Hey, encompassing 20,000 housing units.

  1. Baruch Hashem, this is gevaldike news. The Jewish anti-semites have been utterly defeated and are now being made into an even smaller minority in RBS, while the Torah community can continue to grow and flourish and expand with amazing numbers k”h.
