The warnings are heard annually but unfortunately, too many do no comprehend the dangers associated with fireworks, especially children and for some, fireworks have become a part of their Purim celebration.

Ichud Hatzalah on Sunday, 10 Adar reported a 5-year-old boy in Elad sustained a facial injury after fireworks were hurled in his direction on Yosef Caro Street in Elad. The child was conscious and alert when transported to Schneider Children�s Hospital in Petach Tikvah, reportedly with facial and eye injuries.

EMT Yair Porush stated �I arrived on the scene and saw the boy with a face and eye injury. Miraculously, he was totally conscious and alert and this sad incident reminds us once again of the need for parental supervision if fireworks are handled�.
