A 25-year-old chareidi man died as a result of a fatal drowning incident at a Hadera beach. Two other bochurim who were with him are in Hillel Yafeh Hospital in moderate and light condition.

MDA received the call on 1 Rosh Chodesh Tammuz at 18:47 for a drowning incident in Hadera. EMTs and paramedics reportedly treated three victims, of which one was in cardiac arrest, one moderate (22) and one light (12).

United Hatzalah EMT Daniel Levi who was also on the scene reports he began CPR along with the other first responders. Despite the CPR and advanced cardiac life support measures, the older victim did not pull through. He was pronounced dead in Hillel Yafeh Hospital.

The avreich has been identified as Yisrael Vaknin z”l. The levaya began at 5:00PM in Rechasim on Thursday afternoon 2 Rosh Chodesh Tammuz and kvura in Kfar Chassidim.
