An American Yeshiva Bachur studying at Rav Tzvi Kaplan’s Yeshiva in Eretz Yisroel is R”L fighting for his life following a leg injury while playing a football game, YWN has learned.

Sources tell YWN that the 20-year-old Bochur from Lakewood was playing football on Thursday night, when he fell and broke his leg. Hatzolah and MDA treated him and transported him to a hospital, where it was determined that he needed surgery. YWN was unable to confirm What exactly happened next, but sources tell YWN that a piece of the bone went into the bloodstream, caused a bloodclot, and R”L stopping his breathing.

  1. The bochur was injured while playing football causing him a broken bone, one of the dangers in breaking ones limb is a fat embolism entering the blood circulation. Unfortunatly there is no way of really knowing if an embolism enters the blood stream and once it enters its harder to recognize it in the first few hours.
On scene the boy was treated by Senior medics of united Hatzolah/NY EMT-s and Hatzolah eshkol, afterwards transferred to the hospital by a MDA ambulance.

  2. Why can’t this story be kept on the first page so all will be reminded to say T”hilim?
Also, an update would be helpful.
    Thank You
