Albany, NY – There have been a parade of people going in and out of Gov. David Paterson�s second floor offices today and yesterday, including a few legislators. I�ve heard of at least two�Assemblymen Dov Hikind and David Koon�who have had an audience with Paterson.

Last week�s Times� story stated that �some lawmakers say that despite the state�s crippling crisis, Mr. Paterson has seldom engaged with them, beyond denouncing them.� Both Koon and Hikind have something in common: they�re open about their support.

�He�s a friend. I like David. I always like to talk to him,� Hikind told me on the floor. �I support him. Period.�He is scheduled to see the governor today � he requested the meeting, and it was granted � but wouldn�t say specifically what he and Paterson will talk about.
